MAY 1 – Louisa Frederitzi Cody Birthday Celebration & AHS Museum Re-opening

Relatives and friends of Louisa Frederitzi Cody will gather at the Arnold Historical Museum on Saturday May 1 at 1 pm to hang a banner celebrating Louisa Frederitzi Cody’s birthday on May 27.

Rain date will be Saturday, May 8.

May 1 is also the re-opening day for the AHS Museum.

During May there will be a display of all items collected by Buffalo Bill Cody look-alike, Bob Flamm.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by and see the collection.

Louisa was born in Arnold on May 27, 1844 in a home on Frederitzi Lane which is next to the museum. Her family were founding members of Immaculate Conception Church where she was baptized. Louisa met and married Buffalo Bill Cody on March 6, 1866.

Many of Louisa’s relatives are buried in Historic Richardson Cemetery located ½ mile west of Vogel Road on Richardson Road.

The Arnold Historical Society also maintains the cemetery.
