Beautiful blue sky! Nice temps! Low humidity! That was the backdrop for the 10th Annual Car Show hosted by the Arnold Historical Society in Arnold City Park on Sat. Aug. 11.
This year 56 cars entered to win an individual trophy, Best of Show, Car Club trophy, or a Participant’s Choice trophy where all the car owners decide who has the best car at the show.
Jeff Buckley won Participant’s Choice with his 1924 Moon Car which was made here in St. Louis by the Gamache family. Very historic ties!
The Car Club trophy went to the Outlaws who had the most cars entered. Andrew Moss of Columbia, IL, accepted the trophy for the group.
The Best of Show was won by Ray Abdo of Affton with his 1940 two door sedan Ford.
A five burner gas grill, donated by Home Depot, was raffled off and won by Rhonda Webb of Arnold who is shown with daughter Rachel. Dan Webb entered his 1928 Ford Model A in the show.
A special thank you to the 25 businesses in Arnold that donated prizes for the car show. The Society made a profit of $1,429 which helps pay museum expenses as well as grass cutting at the Historic Richardson Cemetery on Richardson Road.
