We’ve acquired a few more dresses for our exhibit. Check out the photos here, and then stop by the museum to see the beautiful details close up. Check out how necklines, veils, fabrics, bead work, and lace changed as time moved on.
Wedding Dresses thru the Decades will be featured in the Arnold Room in May. The oldest dress we have is from 1923, and the newest is from 2010. The dresses reflect changing styles through the decades, including flapper style, shorter veils, trains and no trains. A photo of the dress and headpiece during its original ceremony will be displayed with the dress.
May is the month when the museum is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays, from noon to four, so be sure and stop by to visit us. On Saturdays, we’ll have punch and cookies as well.
